One of the most common questions I get is how I came up with the name..   Naming a boat is much like naming a child, it typically will typically take some time and a great deal of consideration.   For me it was a brainstorm while finishing off my fifth or six Bombay Sapphire Martini's.     I looked at the bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin and realized it was almost empty.   Damn, I had explored the entire bottle...    Hence, the "Bombay Explorer".

The Bombay Explorer is a classic Frank Butler design 36' Catalina. Perhaps one of the best selling and most desirable sailboats in the world today.  Over three thousand have been launched since their initial debut.   Bombay Explorer is hull #146.

With tens of thousands of  dollars invested in equipment      it would be impossible to list all  of her amenities.
